On a visit to Stirling in the spring, two weary travelers stopped in for some breakfast. We were directed here by the information center in the nearby shopping mall and we had exactly the breakfast we needed. The food was plain, filling grub that kept us full during a long morning of sight seeing. I liked that you could order what you wanted from a long list of breakfast items and had the choice of the number of things you wanted. I had my first experience with vegetarian haggis and, although I can't say i have too much experience with it, really enjoyed it!
In summation, this place was quaint, comfortable, filling, and affordable. It might not be winning any fine dining awards, but it doesn't have to. If a good, old fashioned breakfast is what you seek, seek no further. -

Cute little coffe shop right off the main drag and close to the train station. We stopped in for coffee and lemon cake and had a delightful and tasty experience. Plenty of seating and a very comfortable environment to stop and just take a breath!

I've walked by Victoria's many a time and never once thought of popping in as its exterior looks ever so slightly tacky and run down. I decided to go somewhere different for lunch today with a friend and we happened to be on King Street. As it looked busy we thought we'd give it a try. We were seated right away and both ordered a large bowl of soup which came with two generous slices of wholemeal bread. I've never seen a bowl as big as the one we were served in my life. - It was such a large portion of soup and was very tasty and filling! The soup and bread came to just over £3 and considering the portion size it was good value! I didn't have room for cake but the cakes did look tasty! The decor and design inside is quite plain and it would have been nice to have table service instead of ordering at the till but I was pleasantly surprised by Victoria's! Nothing out of this world but it offers a nice cheap lunch!
